How to get your cabinets made
FAQs
The average time to renovate a kitchen is approximately 2 weeks from the initial dis-connection and removal to the final installation and re-connection, depending on the size of the project. We ensure all the cabinets are manufactured before any site work begins and that all the ancillary trades are booked in order to minimize the inconvenience to the client.
Our cabinets are manufactured in our factory located in Armadale using the latest technology software and automated machinery.
Our materials are supplied by Australian manufacturers where possible. WA Prestige Cabinets use hardware supplied by HAFELE which is primarily manufactured in Germany and is of the highest quality.
It does not matter what shape the room is, we can design and build a cabinet to suit. Sometimes it can just be measured with laser tools, other times it may require a template to get it right. Whatever the shape we will ensure that it is made right the first time
Yes! There are a wide variety of benchtops available. The traditional, laminated benchtop is an enduring finish that can be manufactured with a variety of edges and sizes, both square and rolled.
Engineered stone has become increasingly popular over the last 10 years. Stone is manufactured in 20mm slabs and benchtops can be built up starting from the most cost-effective 20mm finish to 40mm or thicker if so required.
There are many stone suppliers in Perth. Our preferred supplier is Stone Ambassador, however we can also offer Caesarstone, Q-Stone and more at your request. Just let us know if there’s a specific colour or brand you had in mind.
All suppliers have different ranges of pricing from standard, premium, deluxe and boutique range. For accurate quoting it is important to know what colour is selected.
Granite and Marble are also available but need to be selected before they can be priced accurately because of the variety in batches.
Acrylic tops such as Corian provide a unique surface that is seamless and easy to maintain. As with stone benchtops, Corian comes in a variety of ranges which need to be selected before an accurate quote can be provided.
Cabinet doors come in a variety of styles. The starting point for every quote is usually a laminated pre-finished panel with a 1mm PVC edge.
From there you can upgrade to a vinyl wrapped door. These doors are MDF and can range from a flat face with a small round on the edge to a full routered out profile of your choice. When the doors have been cut, vinyl is glued and pressed on to the board in your choice of colour and finish
Laquered or painted doors are another option. As with vinyl doors the MDF is routered to the required profile and then carefully painted to your choice of finish and colour. WA Prestige is proud to use a market leading company, Premier Cabinet Doors as their preferred supplier.
Handles come in all sorts of shapes and sizes and prices. WA Prestige Cabinets has selected a range of 25 popular handles that we include in every quote.
If you wish to choose something different we are happy to direct you to suppliers who we use in order to get the handle you like at a competitive price. Handles can range from traditional to flush mounted or finger grips and come in different finishes such as stainless steel or aluminium.
Lately, a popular choice has been a shark nose edge to the top of the door!
